1904 Rambler Model “L”
In 1904, Milton Stocking of Lindewood, Ill. took a train to Kenosha, Wisc., paid for this
car and drove 100 miles home. He kept the car until his death in 1949. The engine has two
carburetors with overhead mechanical valves and the car cruises comfortably at 30 mph. It
was reported that this car was so easy to drive that a one-armed man could operate it.
