I was a “Daddy’s Girl”. Whatever Daddy did, working on cars, trucks, watching racing. If my Dad was under a car, so was I.
In my teens I was dating a boy also from Pike County, Ky that Drag Raced with his family who owned an engine shop. I was made an official member of the pit crew so every weekend I could hardly wait as we trailered the souped-up Nova to the track. I have always been a muscle car girl (with a few exceptions). Camaros are my favorite; seven so far. I have had two Corvettes, a Jaguar along with a few others.
It was my Mother who introduced to me to Tom & Connie Jones in early 2011, and that is when I first heard about the Concours. I was flattered and excited when they asked me to be the Administrative Director. As the Concours has grown each year and so has the Concours family.
I would like to thank Tom & Connie for making me part of this amazing event, I not only get my “car fix”, but I get to work with many awesome and dedicated people that all have the same goal – helping the children of Kentucky through our beneficiary, the UK Children’s Hospital.
