Description of a past Bourbon Tour
Your day will start out with a light catered lunch followed by a scenic drive to the iconic Buffalo Trace Distillery. During your VIP tour, you will have access to walk through the newly discovered “Bourbon Pompeii”. These remnants, found in 2016, are of an underground distillery from 1873. This area, not normally open to the public, will be sure to make a lasting impression! Following this unique tour of the grounds, you will have the opportunity to taste a variety of bourbons, including a Pappy Van Winkle vintage. We hope to be able to sit down with a member of the Van Winkle family for this tasting.
Following the distillery tour, we will take a scenic drive to Taylor Made Farm here in Lexington, home of California Chrome. At Taylor Made you will be treated to a VIP tour of the facility, and a stallion parade possibly featuring California Chrome himself!
To wrap up your day, we will be having a four-course catered dinner at the farm with views of the Kentucky sunset and the rolling green hills Kentucky is famous for. The start time for the tour this year will be 12:00 Noon and we will end at about 7:00 pm. This tour is limited to only 12 participants so be sure to buy your tickets at https://keenelandconcours.com/dev/events/bourbon-tour/
